The prevention of money laundering (ML) and financing of terrorism (FT) is today a high-priority issue both nationally and internationally, since it deals with complex phenomena with serious economic and social implications, while allowing organized crime finance and maintain their criminal organizations, which, in addition to generating public insecurity and social destabilization, can severely damage the reputation of certain sectors or financial entities and, ultimately, the reputation of the country.
